A simple little demonstration of how to convert a drive letter to it's UNC sharename. Demo exercises the included DriveLetterToUNC routine, calling it once for each drive from C: to Z: and reporting the results in two listboxes -- one that shows mapped drives with their associated sharename, and the other showing unmapped drives.

One of the largest problems I have encountered using OpenGL is that it is very difficult to print a rendered scene. I have only found one other sample on how to do this, however, there was no sample code and I was unable to actually print (let alone print preview a scene!).
What I have done is create a class, CCaptureImage, out of code snippets found on this site. CCaptureImage will capture an bitmap using a device context and the rect of the image you want. From there, you can paint it to a device or save it to a bmp file. Usage of the CCaptureImage class with respect to printing is shown below in the sample code.

In this article, I give a wrap class which encapsulate the OpenGL 3D Font functions. With this class, you can design any 3D letter as a 3D geometry object, translating, scaling, rotating, texture mapping, etc.
The key steps to display a 3D letter is:
1) Create a display list
2) Create and set a font to current windows context device, wglUseFontOutlines function can retrieve the 3d Font geometry data from the context device.
3) call glListBase and glCallLists to display 3D font letters.
