This is the first and (at the moment) only VB implementation of the powerhouse encryption algorithm "Serpent". This implementation is slow but none-the-less works perfectly. Serpent is a 256-bit encryption algorithm developed as a candidate for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). It doesn't match up to the speed and security of Rijndael, Twofish or Blowfish but it definitely is worthy of academic consideration. I wouldn't recommend using this specific implementation in commercial products but it is an excellent academic resource for all you budding cryptographers and security minded people.
