This MARS orbit computation function, based on VSOP87 theory, was designed for amateur astronomers who want to perform highly accurate astronomical computations on their PC using Visual BASIC. The accuracy is comparable to the published astronomical almanacs and is based on the same computational theory used to generate them. Many published, long-term astronomy tables spanning hundreds and even thousands of years are computed using the VSOP87 theory.
