The VTune Performance Analyzer Driver Kit , version 2.0, allows you to compile the VTune analyzer driver for your specific kernel environment. The kit includes GPL driver sources, install scripts, documentation and binaries for supported kernels. This latest release of the VTune Performance Analyzer Driver Kit is bundled with the VTune? Performance Analyzer 2.0 for Linux* and VTune Performance Analyzer 7.1 products. It is not designed to be backwards compatible with earlier versions of VTune Analyzer.
The VTune? Performance Analyzer Driver Kit 1.0 was bundled with the VTune? Performance Analyzer 1.1 for Linux* and VTune Performance Analyzer 7.0 products. This release of the driver kit also works with both the VTune Performance Analyzer 6.1 & 7.0 as well as VTune Performance Analyzer 1.0 for Linux. This release does not work with the newest VTune analyzers, VTune? Performance Analyzer 2.0 for Linux* and VTune Performance Analyzer 7.1. It is recommended that customers with a current registered license for VTune Performance Analyzer 6.1 or 7.0 or VTune Performance Analyzer for Linux 1.0 or 1.1 upgrade their software. The latest version of their software is available to them for free as part of their current Support Services offering.
