Penzilla is an application framework that provides a set of libraries and reusable components for building Mozilla/XUL-based applications. It includes a variety of core applications, including email, browser, calendar, word processor, TV tuner (i.e. video4linux player), multimedia player, chat client (IRC & ICQ), and more. Penzilla is licensed under the GPL/LGPL/MPL. HomeBase DESKTOP is a personal productivity suite that is based largely on Penzilla. It can be installed on a standard Redhat 7.1 or 7.2 system, and provides all of Penzilla's client applications. With DESKTOP, users can register for paid services (auto updates, synchronization, mobile web access, and more).
