Pyrite Publisher (formerly Doc Toolkit) is a set of tools for building content in formats compatible with the Palm computing platform. Currently it is focused on building e-texts in the de facto standard \"Doc\" format and the free high-compression zTXT format, but its architecture will allow for expanded media support in the future. For Doc/zTXT conversion, it includes command-line tools for converting HTML and ASCII to Doc databases, and can be extended in Python. It can fetch its input from the Web or FTP, has support for TealDoc tags, and can set bookmarks directly into the output database.
