- ccirc is an IRC client written in ksh scripts. It supports loadable modules, and loadable handlers for almost any event within the client, from command line options to the behavior of the /msg command. 1.x was written using pdksh, and it will work under the Z shell and AT&T ksh with slight modifications. It supports loadable interface definitions with colour support, flexible scripting, multiple viewports in the main window, "maximized" mode, multiple window emulation, searchable history, the ability to intelligently switch users if you have root privileges (or switch to nobody otherwise), and much more. 2.x is much more modular and stable. It is currently a fully usable IRC client in dumb mode, with several more advanced interface modules being written.
